Chandigarh, April 13 -- As the Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) keep the voters in Bathinda guessing, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday decided to field its MLA and the state's women wing president Baljinder Kaur for what expected to be a high-stake political battle in the Lok Sabha elections.

While Akali Dal is waiting for the Congress to make the first move, the grand-old-party is yet to lay its hands on a suitable and "winnable" candidate for the coveted constituency.

Already in the field is AAP 'rebel' Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who floated his own party early this year. He is contesting from Bathinda as a candidate under the banner of Punjab Democratic Alliance (PDA).
