India, April 1 -- As the viral scourge of Coronavirus swept across the world, national, provincial and local Governments found themselves scrambling to deal with the spread of the deadly infection. However, sporting authorities - from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) - were found with their heads buried in the sand, refusing to accept the impact of the virus on their schedules.
