Bhopal, June 18 -- An 18-year-old girl from Bhopal underwent surgery to remove an 8 kg abdominal tumour after six months of misdiagnosis and worsening health.
She had been experiencing abdominal pain, vomiting, loss of appetite, and rapid weight loss. Multiple visits to local clinics failed to identify the cause.
She was eventually taken to Sagar Multi Speciality Hospital, where investigations led to the detection of a large tumour pressing against internal organs. The surgical team removed the tumour in an eight-hour operation.
The tumour was located near the left kidney and pancreas and close to major arteries. The girl has been discharged and is now under follow-up care.
