Jamshedpur, Feb. 19 -- In the last 15 days, East Singhbhum district witnessed a surge in complaints related to drinking water issues, with a total of 787 grievances registered on the Jhar Jal Portal. Out of these, 588 complaints have been resolved.
The complaints encompassed a variety of issues, including 545 related to hand pump repairs, 171 concerning small water supply schemes, 22 about large water supply disruptions, 6 pipeline leakages, 28 cases of water supply interruptions, 3 related to water quality, and 3 concerning toilet and sanitation. Additionally, 10 other miscellaneous complaints were also registered.
The significant number of complaints indicates persistent challenges in the district's water supply infrastructure. Hand pum...
