Ranchi, March 8 -- The 38th convocation ceremony of Ranchi University was conducted on March 7 at the convocation hall of the university at its Morabadi campus in the State capital. Governor Santosh Gangwar was the chief guest for the occasion while State Higher and technical Education Minister Suddivya Kumar was the special guest.
As many as 63 gold medals were awarded to students out of which 48 of the recipients were girls and 15 were boys. A total of 14 sponsored gold medals were also distributed. A total of 4410 students from undergraduate, post graduate, PhD, D- Lit, DSC and vocational courses were awarded with their degrees. Out of these 3291 were girls and 1119 were boys.
