Ayodhya, June 7 -- ollowing the grand consecration of Raja Ram in the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Mandir, the Chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, Nripendra Mishra, revealed that 45 kilograms of pure gold have been used in the construction of the temple.
The gold, valued at approximately ?50 crore excluding taxes, has been used extensively in the sanctum, particularly on all the doors and the throne of Ram Lalla. While most of the gold-plating work has been completed, some finishing touches on the shikhar of the Sheshavatar Mandir are still underway.
