PARALAKHEMUNDI, Dec. 12 -- The Adaba police in Gajapati district on Wednesday detained four persons and interrogated them in connection with abduction of a minor girl in Adaba village two

days back.

The police swung to action on a complaint lodged by the girl's mother on Tuesday. The mother alleged that her tiny daughter and father-in-law were sleeping in a house on Monday night when a four-five youths came to her house and quarreled with them. Later, they forcibly took away her daughter.

"We searched for the girl and rescued her from her relative's house at Aska. Four persons have been detained in that connection," said Adaba PS IIC Alok Ranjan
