Bhopal, April 21 -- A three day theatre festival is being organised in the city. The festival began here from Saturday at Shaheed Bhavan auditorium. The fest began with the play The Flies.
The theatre festival is being organised by Samantar Theatre Troupe. Directed by Manoj Nair the play was beautifully performed by the artists of Shadow Theatre Troupe.
Prior to the play, Purv Rang was held. During the Purv Rang Devesh Maurya along with his troupe performed Rang Sangeet. It was beautifully performed and was much loved by the audience
The Flies is a play by Jean-Paul Sartre, written in 1943. It is an adaptation of the Electra myth, previously used by the Greek playwrights Sophocles, Aeschylus and Euripides.
