Jamshedpur, Feb. 25 -- In a major crackdown on illegal opium cultivation, the West Singhbhum Police launched an extensive campaign, resulting in the destruction of 27 acres of illicit poppy fields. The anti-narcotics drive was carried out in multiple villages under the Bandgaon and Tebo police station areas, aiming to curb the growing menace of illegal opium farming in the region.
Under the leadership of Ashutosh Shekhar, Superintendent of Police, West Singhbhum, the campaign targeted major cultivation sites, starting with village Gayadih, Diggi, and Gagri under Bandgaon police station.
