New Delhi, March 14 -- With the arrest of two bootleggers, the Delhi Police on Friday claimed to have busted a syndicate involved in supplying and selling illicit liquor in Delhi and its neighbouring Ghaziabad. Police said that they have also recovered 5534 quarters of liquor from the possession of the duo. The accused have been identified as Uday Kumar (32) and Sukhveer Singh (26), both residents of West Delhi's Uttam Nagar area.

According to Anto Alphonse, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Dwarka district, on March 12, specific inputs were received regarding supply of huge quantity of illicit liquor on two carr following which a police team laid a trap at Sector-1, near Agrasen Hospital.
