India, Feb. 23 -- A 19-year-old student of a private university was allegedly confined, assaulted and raped by her live-in partner at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Gurgaon's Badshahpur area, police said on Sunday.

The woman, who sustained visible injuries and burn marks on her body, was initially taken to Sector 10 Civil Hospital and later referred to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, due to the seriousness of her condition.

The accused, also 19 and a resident of Delhi, was arrested shortly after the incident was reported. He was arrested from Delhi.
