Garhwa, Feb. 26 -- A job fair was held in Garhwa on Tuesday. It was organised by Palash (JSLPS) Garhwa under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana. The event took place at the Nilambar Pitambar Multipurpose Cultural Building, Town Hall.
Around 33 companies from all over India attended. They offered jobs to about 895 young, unemployed people. At the fair, 483 people were offered jobs, and 188 were selected.
Deputy Commissioner, Shekhar Jamuar, spoke to the attendees. He said the government is working hard to reduce unemployment. He mentioned that the job fair was part of this effort.
