INDORE, March 27 -- The Government of India has decided to provide direct benefits to the deprived population covered under 34 Central Schemes.
For this purpose, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) program was started. Through the DBT programme, the government will provide final Transfers payments directly to beneficiaries' Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, thereby bypassing the existing system
Irregularities like payment of assistance amount into accounts and duplicate payment can be eliminated.
