Chandigarh, Sept. 17 -- Up in arms against the Central Government's move of enacting three agriculture-related laws, no less than 10 farmer organizations in Punjab have announced 'Punjab Bandh' on September 25 to protested against "anti-farmer Bills".

The decision was taken in a meeting of the organizations, held in Ludhiana on Wednesday. It was decided that all businesses, road and rail transport would be completely shut down across Punjab on September 25.

To decide upon the strategy of the statewide bandh and make it a success, a joint meeting of all the farmers' organizations of Punjab has been convened on September 19 in Moga to bring all the farmers' organizations on one platform and intensify the farmers' movement.
