Kolkata, June 20 -- In a development that could spark a new controversy in the State some miscreants on Thursday hurled a pair of footwear at Bengal BJP president and Union Minister Sukanta Majumndar when he was visiting Budge Budge a port town some 20 miles south of Kolkata to see an injured party worker.
Though the shoe did not hit the BJP leader as his security personnel successfully dodged it, the people, including women who had assembled at the raised slogans against him.
The BJP sources said that the BJP leader was heckled at the instance of the TMC leadership
apparently as a revenge against Majumdar's act of throwing a pair of chappals on Tuesday outside the residence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee where he had gone to register...
