Ranchi, Feb. 4 -- Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare Minister of Jharkhand Government Chamra Linda announced that Sirsi Ta Nale area will be developed as a tribal pilgrimage site and efforts will be made to get it recognized at the national level like Kumbh Mela.
Linda was addressing the people at the Sirsi-Ta-Nale (Don) Kankado Lata Rajkiya Samman organized in Akasi Panchayat located in Dumri block of Gumla district on Monday.
On the occasion the Minister said that religion provides the power to unite the society. Tribal society has been worshiping the Sun, Moon, Earth, Water, Forest and Nature for centuries and this is the basic foundation of our identity, he added.
