Chandigarh, May 16 -- Armed with awareness and armed with action, Punjab's schoolchildren are donning the mantle of warriors in the fight against one of the state's most persistent enemies - the mosquito. In a bold and imaginative move, the Punjab Government has deployed a new frontline in its war on vector-borne diseases - its school students. Through the "Little Champions Campaign", classrooms are being transformed into command centres, and children into foot soldiers, as the state wages an all-out offensive against dengue, malaria, and chikungunya.
