India, Dec. 3 -- After the Supreme Court on Tuesday questioned the legal status of Rohingyas living in India, Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee said the Chief Justice of India "shouldn't make loose comments". TMC MP's comment followed Chief Justice Surya Kant's observation in a hearing on five missing Rohingya refugees. "Do you want us to roll out a red carpet for them," he said.

The apex court's bench, headed by the CJI, said that Rohingyas were entering India through underground routes and then demanding rights such as food and shelter.
