India, Nov. 28 -- Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey told the media said that all preparations have been put in place for paddy procurement in the state from December 1. The Cabinet Sub-Committee as per its decision will procure more than 90 lakh tonnes of paddy from the farmers at minimum support price, he added. On the question of expected rains, Choubey said the impact is due to the prevailing cyclone and the rains are very light. It would not have a major impact on the stored paddy or farmers.
