Mumbai, Dec. 8 -- Ashutosh Gowariker's historical drama Panipat hit the screens on December 5. The much-awaited project became the center of controversies even before the film's release. Initially, Bestselling Marathi novelist Vishwas Patil booked the makers of the magnum opus for copyright violation and now the Jats of Bharatpur, Rajasthan have opposed the film. As per a report by Times Now, the Rajasthani locals seem to be upset with the filmmaker for the wrong portrayal of Maharaja Surajmal in the film.
