Manila, Feb. 19 -- Malacanang on Thursday assured the public that Vice President Sara Duterte's announcement to run for president in 2028 will not affect President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s focus on governance.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said that the President remains focused on key priorities, including boosting the economy, improving the lives of Filipinos, and addressing long-standing flooding issues.
"Hindi maaapektuhan. Maaapektuhan ba ng isang bise presidente na nag-announce lang na siya ay tatakbo ang pagtatrabaho ng Pangulo (It will not be affected. Will the work of the President be derailed just because a vice president announced that she will run)?" she said.
