Manila, Jan. 15 -- The Philippine Navy (PN) on Thursday announced that its naval units in the Visayas have conducted a series of operations from Jan. 12 to 13 aimed at enhancing the security for events related to the country's hosting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Summit this year.
In a statement, the PN said landing craft BRP Manobo (LC-297) and multi-purpose attack craft (MPAC)-482, both assigned at Naval Forces Central (NFC), conducted "sealift mission and maritime security patrols" on the above-mentioned dates.
