Manila, Oct. 29 -- A 45-year-old Ugandan national was arrested Tuesday night at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City after authorities found in his luggage 6,250 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP42.5 million.
In a statement on Wednesday, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the arrested suspect, identified only by alias "Adnan," a businessman, was an arriving passenger from Antananarivo, Madagascar around 8 p.m., with a connecting flight in Ethiopia.
During the inspection of his gray luggage, authorities discovered five improvised packaging tape bags containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, concealed among assorted clothes, toys, and other personal items.
