Manila, June 9 -- Turkiye has expressed its willingness to help and support the Philippine Navy (PN) in future training programs for submarine and surface ship operations.
Turkish Ambassador to the Philippines, Niyazi Evren Akyol made the pledge to PN chief Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Ezpeleta during his official visit to the Naval Station Jose Andrada, Roxas Boulevard, Manila last June 5.
"(During the meeting) he (Akyol) also expressed Turkiye's readiness to support future training and education programs for submarine and surface ship operations in partnership with the PN," the PN said in a statement over the weekend.
