MANILA, Nov. 2 -- A tropical storm (TS) with the international name Kalmaegi may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Sunday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

As of 3 a.m., Kalmaegi was located 1,230 km. east of Eastern Visayas with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kph. It is moving west northwestward at 15 kph.

It will be given the local name Tino once it enters PAR, according to PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina.

He said the tropical storm is expected to make landfall over Eastern Visayas or Caraga by Tuesday morning.
