Manila, Dec. 12 -- No untoward incident happened during the three-day nationwide transport strike conducted by transport group Manibela, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Friday.
The transport strike, which started on Tuesday, was generally peaceful as station commanders and chiefs of police in the areas where the activities were held did not record any incident that threatens safety and security of the public, PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement.
He lauded the drivers and operators of transport group of Manibela for honoring their commitment to peace and order during the conduct of their protest action.
