Manila, Jan. 27 -- Malacanang on Tuesday said it is premature to discuss proposals to form a new political alliance similar to the UniTeam that backed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in the 2022 presidential elections.

The statement was issued after former senator Antonio Trillanes IV suggested that Marcos loyalists forge a coalition with the so-called "Kakampinks" of former vice president Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo to defeat the Dutertes in 2028.

In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the matter has not been brought to the attention of the President.
