ILOILO CITY, Dec. 2 -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is encouraging Ilonggos to avail of the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) program scheduled this month.

TESDA Iloilo Director Esther Babalo, in a media interview on Tuesday, said Iloilo has an allocation of more than PHP10 million for the scholarship program that will be conducted by the enterprises themselves.

"We will bring the learners directly into the workplace. Their training is in the workplace, experiencing the day-to-day operations of businesses. It is also an opportunity for them to experience the culture inside the workplace, not just a simulated venue for training," Babalo said.
