Manila, July 1 -- Marcelino "Marcy" Teodoro was proclaimed as the 1st District representative of Marikina City on Tuesday afternoon.

Based on the Notice to Candidates issued by the Office of the Election Officer in Marikina City, the City Board of Canvassers (CBOC) proclaimed Teodoro as the duly elected lawmaker of the city district in a ceremony at the Marikina Public Market Function Hall.

He topped the May 12 congressional elections with 75,062 votes against Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III.

The CBOC consists of lawyers Dave Villarosa, Election Officer IV; Laurence Joel Taliping, City Prosecutor; and Dr. Alejandro Ibanez, School Divisions, Superintendent.
