Manila, Aug. 10 -- Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. praised the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for earning high public trust based on the latest OCTA survey.

In a news release over the weekend, Teodoro congratulated the AFP leadership under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., saying the survey results reflect the military's "dedication, professionalism, genuine connection and empathy with our people, and tunay na pagmamahal sa Inang Bayan (true love for the Motherland)."

"Pilipinas 'di ka pasisiil! (Philippines, you will not be oppressed!)" Teodoro said.
