Manila, June 9 -- Globe Telecom, a leading mobile phone and telecommunications firm in the country, has expressed its support for the city government's ongoing cleanup of overhead cables.

City Ordinance No. 0354-23, or the Anti-Spaghetti Wire Ordinance of 2023, mandates telecommunications service providers to move installations to designated poles and reduce cable clutter in public areas.

Adonis Evangelista, head of customer services for Visayas and Mindanao at Globe, explained they had difficulties complying because they often receive notifications only days before clearing activities, leaving their teams with little time to adjust and inform affected customers.
