BUTUAN CITY, Nov. 24 -- Most provinces in the Caraga Region experienced moderate to heavy rains early Monday morning, brought by Tropical Depression (TD) Verbena.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said as of 5:00 a.m., Verbena was located 330 km. east of Surigao City.

The weather disturbance is packing maximum sustained winds of 45 km. per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of 55 kph.

As rains continue to dampen the region, Philippine Coast Guard stations have temporarily suspended sea travel, while local government units (LGUs) have ordered the suspension of classes.
