Manila, Nov. 16 -- Commuters and travelers in Butuan City and the rest of the Caraga Region can now tap the services of new taxicabs that recently been granted franchise by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board in the region (LTFRB-13). The new taxi units are operated by the Balangay Transport Service Cooperative (BALTRANSCO). Juanito Ubas, chairperson of BALTRANSCO in a statement on their Facebook account, said a total of 13 taxi units will initially serve the commuters starting Saturday, November 16. LTFRB-13 has granted the franchise to 50 taxi units of BALTRANSCO, which will serve the route from Butuan City to any part of Caraga.
