Manila, Oct. 30 -- Nearly 12 years after Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) hit this city, family members gathered to place flowers and light candles around a mass grave site, unsure of the exact location of their loved ones' final resting place.

John Ray Dumilon, 27, came on Thursday to remove weeds in a spot where they traditionally honor his uncle, Oscar Nerja, who was swept away by killer waves.

"This is not the exact place where my uncle was buried, but my grandma told us to offer flowers and light candles at this cross," said Dumilon, who will never forget his uncle for supporting his education.
