MANILA, Nov. 19 -- Swedish Ambassador to the Philippines Anna Ferry said Sweden is introducing mining technologies used in their own operations to help improve safety and efficiency in the Philippine mining industry.
"In Sweden, we have 13 mining companies and a strict zero-tolerance policy for accidents," Ferry said during a press conference on Tuesday.
"Companies work closely with equipment providers and researchers to continually develop science-based, safer technologies. Everyone develops these products to make sure that the mines are as safe as possible. We have zero tolerance and zero vision of no injuries."
