LEGAZPI CITY, Dec. 1 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Bicol is providing support to the survivors and families who lost loved ones in a recent deadly collision between a van and a truck in Camalig, Albay.

In a report on Monday, DSWD Bicol Regional Director Norman Laurio is working closely with relevant agencies and has ordered the deployment of Crisis Intervention Section teams to Albay and Iriga City.

Home visits have been conducted, followed by hospital assessments and continuous coordination to assist families throughout the assistance process.

The team provided psychosocial first aid during a home visit in Ligao City.
