Butuan City, Jan. 6 -- Police in Surigao del Norte arrested 34 drug suspects and confiscated PHP55.1 million worth of illegal drugs during 27 operations in December 2025.

The largest single haul occurred on Christmas Eve in Siargao Island, where eight kilograms of shabu worth PHP54.4 million were seized and three foreign nationals arrested, the Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office reported Tuesday.

"These accomplishments reflect the unwavering commitment of SDNPPO personnel to uphold public safety, enforce the law, and combat illegal drugs in the province," said SDNPPO director Col. Warren Dablo.

He also credited community support for the success of anti-drug and anti-criminality drives.
