MANILA, Feb. 28 -- The Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM) should be streamlined instead of being abolished, Senator Sonny Angara said Wednesday.

"I don't think we're going to abolish. I think we are going to streamline," Angara said in an interview after the conclusion of the third hearing to discuss proposed amendments to the Government Procurement Reform Act.

"Kasi dati, 'yung PS-DBM parang may sarili silang mundo, eh. Wala siyang permanent employees. Hindi sya nagre-report sa DBM.
