Manila, May 13 -- House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez on Tuesday vowed more projects for Leyte in his third and final term as First District representative.
"We will continue with the service that the people of Leyte deserve, fulfilling the directive of the President. There will be more projects for Tacloban City, the first district, Leyte province, and even for the whole region," he told reporters on the sidelines of his proclamation by the provincial board of canvassers here.
Running unopposed, Romualdez garnered 177,485 votes from Leyte's first district, comprising Tacloban City and nearby towns of Palo, Babatngon, San Miguel, Sta. Fe, Alangalang, Tanauan and Tolosa.
