Manila, Aug. 25 -- Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the archipelago due to southwest monsoon (habagat), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday.

In its 4 a.m. forecast, PAGASA said southwest monsoon will continue to affect Luzon and Western Visayas while localized thunderstorms will affect the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate, and sometimes heavy rains.

Light to strong winds will blow all over the country while coastal waters along all areas will be slight to moderate.
