Manila, Aug. 17 -- A 43-year-old South African was arrested Saturday night at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City after authorities found in his luggage seven kilos of suspected shabu worth PHP47.6 million.

In a press release Sunday, the suspect, identified only as "Antonie," arrived at around 7:30 p.m. on board Cathay Airways Flight CX 748 from Hong Kong.

Police seized about 7,000 grams of shabu from the suspect's luggage, according to Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) report.

All confiscated evidence have been turned over to the PDEA Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative examination and proper disposition.
