Manila, Feb. 1 -- Heavy rainfall brought by the shear line over the weekend triggered floods in a number of villages in this highly urbanized city and other areas in northern Negros Occidental.
Data of this city's Department of Social Services and Development showed at least 320 families or 1,038 persons from 14 barangays sought shelter in various evacuation centers overnight on Saturday.
By Sunday noon, all the displaced individuals have returned home.
The affected families are from barangays 2, 3, 18, 20, 35, 36, 39, 40, Alijis, Bata, Mansilingan, Montevista, Singcang-Aiport, and Taculing.
