Manila, Feb. 12 -- The shear line will continue to affect the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas while the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will prevail over the rest of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Thursday.
In its 4 a.m. forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rains or isolated thunderstorms are expected over the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Negros Occidental, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, and Leyte due to the shear line.
Moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides in these areas.
