Manila, March 21 -- Both local shares and currency closed weak in Friday's trading.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shed 0.89 percent to 6,266.75 points, with All Shares also declining by 0.49 percent to 3,727.12 points.
Only the Industrial counter closed in the green territory, improving by 0.13 percent to 8,844.54.
Biggest shedding came from Property counter, down by 1.39 percent; followed by Holding Firms, 1.38 percent; Services, 0.60 percent; Mining and Oil, 0.55 percent; and Financials, 0.51 percent.
Regina Capital Development Corp. head of sales Luis Limlingan said PSEi mirrored the losses of US equities.
