CITY OF MALOLOS, Feb. 20 -- The Bulacan Environment and Natural Resources Office (BENRO) turned over Tuesday a rescued brown serpent eagle to the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office in Guiguinto town.

In an interview, Katrina Anne Bernardo-Balingit, Provincial Public Affairs Office chief, said the bird measures one foot tall, with a wingspan of four feet and weighing approximately two and a half kilograms.

The distressed serpent eagle was found last Feb. 9 by Rufino Lanada of Barangay Sta. Rita, who immediately handed it over to the Provincial Engineer's Office in Barangay Tabang.
