Manila, May 29 -- The ongoing "rigorous" performance review will also cover senior government officials, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said on Thursday.

In a Palace press briefing, Bersamin said Marcos' directive is to evaluate government performance not only at the Cabinet level but across the entire bureaucracy.

He said the President wants to go deeper into the government agencies, systems, and quality of public service being delivered on the ground.

"The people expect results and the President has no patience for underperformance," he said. "He has further indicated that senior officials will likewise be included in the continuing review."
