Manila, Aug. 12 -- Senators Bam Aquino and Sherwin Gatchalian on Tuesday lauded the gains in education, vowing measures to address classroom shortages and further improve learning outcomes.
Gatchalian said the improvement in learners' reading proficiency is proof that ongoing programs such as the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) program are working.
"I take heart in the significant improvement in reading proficiency of our learners, a clear sign that our efforts are bearing fruit. With the ARAL Program in full swing, we can accelerate our learning recovery and bring the number of non-readers even closer to zero," Gatchalian said.
