Manila, July 14 -- Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on Monday said the full implementation of Anti-Red Tape law is vital to improving the country's economy and attracting more investments.

In a press release, Gatchalian underscored the need to dismantle persistent bureaucratic red tape, which he said, continues to discourage investments, limit competitiveness, and stifle business growth.

"It is imperative for the government to fully implement the Anti-Red Tape law by streamlining processes and fostering a supportive environment to unleash the full potential of local businesses," he said.

Republic Act No. 9485, or Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007, mandates government agencies to simplify procedures and enhance transparency in their services.
