Manila, Jan. 27 -- Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros on Monday maintained that the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) law is insufficient to address the rising cases of teen pregnancies, saying additional measures like the Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy (PAP) bill are critical to address the issue comprehensively.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. previously expressed strong opposition to certain provisions of the bill but reaffirmed his support for sex education, including teaching essential topics like anatomy, consequences of early pregnancy and risks of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
