Manila, July 16 -- The Senate Impeachment Court has informed the Supreme Court (SC) that it does not have access to the detailed records of the impeachment proceedings initiated in the House of Representatives against Vice President Sara Duterte, and thus cannot comply with the July 8 en banc resolution requiring information on the matter.
In a manifestation ad cautelam filed by the Office of the Senate Legal Counsel on July 15, with a copy sent to the media, the Senate said it lacks sufficient knowledge or access to items (a) to (k) listed in the Court's directive, which require specific dates, processes, and supporting documents concerning the endorsement and transmission of the Articles of Impeachment to the upper chamber.
